How to attach the collars on animals 🐄

Get the best tips on how to attach the collars on your animals.

The collar should be mounted loosely

When attaching the collar to the animal, it's important to ensure it isn’t too tight. There should be enough space for your hand between the collar and the animal’s neck. The collar should be able to rotate freely around the animal’s neck without force.

Check that the collar is properly attached by gently gripping the electronic device and placing your palm between the animal’s neck and the rubber strap.

The QR code should face forward

It’s important that the QR code faces forward toward the animal’s head, and that the button for turning the collar on and off faces backward.

Enter the name and ear tag before mounting

We recommend entering both the animal's name and ear tag in the app when mounting the collars. This makes it easier to identify which animal is on the pasture, as the collar ID alone can be difficult to link to a specific animal.

Collars can end up upside down – but that’s fine!

Be aware that the collar might end up upside down in certain situations, such as during play or pushing. However, the weight of the lock will cause it to return to its correct position on its own. This is completely normal and not a sign of incorrect mounting or a malfunction.

No collars on young animals

The animals need to be old enough to understand and respond to the collar's signals. We do not recommend using the equipment on animals younger than 6 months.
